CMI Students Make Documentaries in Ireland

CMI Students Make Documentaries in Ireland. Over the course of two weeks, fourteen CMI students directed and shot seven documentaries in Donegal, Ireland. CMI Assistant Professor Ilana Lapid created this Faculty Led International Program (FLiP) months prior with help from Chris Lawlor with Learn International and the NMSU Study Abroad Office. With careful planning and preparation, students were able to explore the many sights, sounds, and unique experiences Ireland has to offer, while also utilizing their skills in the art and craft of filmmaking.  Students were able to develop relationships with their subjects, and learn about the preservation of the Irish language and culture.
