Hi, everyone. I’m happy to share that we have a lot of events coming up this week.
- Join us on Zoom on Monday the 22nd at 6PM for a lecture with CAA agent Andrew Graham, who throughout his career has worked with talent like Zac Efron, Jimmy Fallon, Ludacris, and Arcade Fire, and negotiated millions of dollars of deals between Fortune 500 companies. He will be speaking in the Business of Filmmaking class about how agents fit into the entertainment landscape. Here is the Zoom link to join.
- On Wednesday the 24th at 6PM, we are happy to host Academy Award winning screenwriter Tom Schulman, writer of Dead Poets Society, which won Best Screenplay and was nominated for Best Picture and Best Director. He’s also behind movies like What About Bob?, Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Welcome to Mooseport. He will be giving screenwriting tips, as well as answering questions about his lengthy and illustrious career. Here is the Zoom link.
- On Friday the 19th at 6:00 PM, we’ll be hosting a CMI movie night on the Discord server, watching the film Captain Fantastic, which was shot here in Las Cruces.
- On Saturday the 20th at 10:00 AM, we’ll be hosting a small socially-distanced hike at Soledad Canyon. Email aantholz@nmsu to reserve a spot! There are only a few left.
